I wanted to give everyone on the team a few upcoming dates to add to their calendars:

April 30 - Shoshone Park Cleanup - We will meet at the park at 9:00 AM to help clean up litter and perform maintenance.  This league wide event generally runs until 12:30 or 1:00 PM and includes hot dogs for all the kids participating in this opportunity to give back to the Buffalo Parks system that provides us our fields.

May 7 - Opening Day - We will meet at St. Margret's school, on Hertel, between 9:30 AM and 9:45 AM for the annual parade.  After the parade, Opening Day ceremonies will be held at the park.

The weather certainly hasn't been cooperative yet, so we do not have a date for our first practice.  As the weather turns in the next few days, however, the league is going to get the fields in order very quickly and will immediately begin to schedule practices.  Once everything is ready, they will issue a pre-season practice schedule.  Due to the tight timing, we are likely to only have 2 or 3 day's notice.  After the season starts, we will be able to fall into a regular rhythm of practice twice a week.
